About the Author

Shachar is my Hebrew name…

it means "dawn" as in sunrise... new beginning… -ThisDay.

I love that name because it represents

all that this study is designed to capture…

each NewDay we are given

NewMercies by our Father in heaven.

Whether we see them or not

is widely up to our attitude

and ability to see GOD's blessings…

which grows as we get to KNOW Him more.

I cling to those mercies every ThisDay (Today) that I am given!

I also love my logo…

which was brought to reality

with the help of two special people in my life.

It shows the Journey of KingdomLife.

I needed to show the Roots...

for connection in the spirit,

I needed the Trunk... substance of Truth.

I needed to have Leaves... Fruit

and I needed the Sunrise,

which was the final touch

to represent New Mercies

for each new ThisDay.

As a part of GOD's Family

we begin small...

be born again…

then we grow roots...

divide spirit & soul…

Learn to hear GOD's Voice

and follow Him…

as we ABIDE continually.

ThisDay is Sharing Patterns/Prompts

that were given to me

through dark days of physical challenges

and much loss of loved ones.

ThisDay content began

as revelation from HolySpirit

as I got knocked down with life,

but always got back up...

AGAIN… and again…

because He is faithful!

Father would assure me of His Love.

HolySpirit would illuminate it all

and the Word would come alive in my heart…

so that my mind could understand

that I am Loved and can give His Love…

I Belong and am not Alone…

I Matter & have Purpose.

This is KingdomLife with GOD!

I have always been a Treasure Seeker…

looking for the treasure

hidden in the rubble of ashes after tragedy.

Being laid up in bed after an accident

was a true testing ground for my faith…

and a place to grow in Christ

and find His Treasure.

I knew that GOD was faithful

through the losses and the gains of life.

When I experienced my own losses,

I remembered Job… I WORSHIPED!

We have such great access to worship music

all day long to encourage our heart

and lift our thoughts to Truth.

As I searched for peace

in the pages of my Bible,

I found patterns that emerged

and showed me GOD's Love.

After coming through difficult losses,

and health challenges, that still continue,

I sensed that it was time to share

what the LORD had given to me...

as possible helps for your journey.

ThisDay is what I call it.

I do a backwards GLANCE to yesterday,

just enough to glean what is there to learn and grow from…

but I also focus on the forward GAZE

as I behold the Risen Savior

who is giving me a hope and a future!

ThisDay is for Today

where I remember what GOD has said…

through the written Word

and the Living Word (Yeshua Jesus).

I personally use these Patterns/Prompts daily

to remind my soul of the GOD I serve…

and that He has been faithful

even when I couldn't/can't see it during a struggle…

but looking back,

He always shows me

that He never leaves me alone…

even in losses!

You can know this, too!

I believe meditating through the year

on these Patterns/Prompts

and pairing them together

helps to increase hearing HolySpirit communicate

His Word to my heart…

the WRITTEN becomes LIVING

as He sheds light on the Words on the page

that we hide in our heart… so we will not sin against GOD.

So I humbly offer ThisDay to YOU…

as simply a starting point

for Babes, Children, and pre-Babes...

or for Young or Mature Ones…

as an addition

to your own daily illumination and revelation

from HolySpirit and the Word...

Always remember that Father loves YOU

and wants you to be in His Family.

SLOW DOWN... INSIDE AND OUT...

Learn to be quiet and still.

Seek fresh bread from heaven each day.

May we learn to understand

the dividing of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12)

so that we may continually reject sin

and deny self

with the result of living in constant communion with GOD-

who is Spirit.

This is walking in the spirit

according to the Spirit.

May we find deliverance in our soul

from the power of sin… The Work of the Cross…

and equally

may we find the strength

to daily take up our cross,

denying the power of our flesh,

and walk according to

the leading of the Spirit of GOD… The Way of the Cross.

I share an example of a photographer

getting people together for a group photo.

The job of each person in the group

is to look at the photographer and smile…

not to get all the other members of the group

to do the same.

We are each responsible for our own behavior…

and our own relationship with the LORD.

Looking to Yeshua Jesus as our Head

and abiding in Him

is our first and utmost call…

He alone is the Author and Finisher

of our personal walk of Faith…

“Abide in Me!”

All other assignments from the LORD

will come out of that simple call

to REMAIN IN HIM.

Remember what Yeshua Jesus said

to Peter at the end of John 21…

“Peter, don’t you worry about

what John is doing or not doing…

You Follow Me!” (Loose translation).

May you always know

the Presence and Love of God

as you journey through

trials, trust, and travels

in Messiah Yeshua Jesus Christ…

May the Holy Word of God

impart strength and joy and hope

every ThisDay of your living in Messiah’s Shalom…

May you always bring glory to God our Father,

who loves and chose us,

in His Son, our Messiah and King,

who saved us,

and the blessed HolySpirit,

who continually leads us into all truth.
