Week 4 - Day1Sunday, January 19, 2025 Daily Reading Proverbs 19 if on the Sunday Only Plan

Menorah days this week...

the Pattern of 7's for the BEGINNINGS IN GENESIS.

The Universe began...This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens...Gen 2:4 NKJV

Mankind began...Then God said, “Let Us make humankind in Our image, in the likeness of Ourselves; Gen 1:26 CJSB

Sin began... If you are doing what is good, shouldn’t you hold your head high? And if you don’t do what is good, sin is crouching at the door — it wants you, but you can rule over it...Gen 4:7 CJSB

Redemption began... And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife. Gen 3:21 NLT

(God covered the nakedness of the first humans... which is what the Blood of Jesus also does for us.) more on that later.

Nations began... These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations. From these the nations of the earth were divided up after the flood. Gen 10:32 CJB

The Hebrew Race began... And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you, and to your seed after you. And I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Gen 17:7-8 ONMB

The Life of Faith began... It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him (See Genesis 12) to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God. Heb 11:8-10 NLT

Theme - 3 Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit has this focus:

Faith: The muscle of Faith needs exercising and it grows through adversity... think resistance training!

Hope: Our soul (mind, will, emotions) needs the anchor of Hope to hold on during the storms of life.

Love: We must first experience the LOVE of God... to be able to share His Love with others.

Joy: Our strength is from our Joy in the LORD.

Peace: This is Shalom... Lacking no good thing!

As a BABE in Christ you can learn to have this focus for simplicity in your Journey with the LORD.

BERIT (Covenant) - A.B.I.D.E.

There are five points of covenant that we use in this study and they can be related in this order...

Who What How Why Where/When ...all a very loose description that will be more clear as we go.

We will explore our next Covenant Pattern of 5's ... and I hope the beauty will become obvious. For this week, our Pattern of Covenant 5's is: A.B.I.D.E.

(Faith) Advocate - (Who) I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. 2 He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. 1 John 2:1-2 NLT

(Hope) Behavior- (What) And you must steadily flee youthful desires, and you must habitually pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call upon the Lord out of clean hearts. And you must steadily avoid foolish and stupid controversies, because you know that they would beget strife: 2 Tim 2:22-23 ONMB

(Love) Integrity - (How) Love has patience, love is kind, not jealous, love does not boast, it is not proud, it does not dishonor, it does not seek things for itself, it does not become angry, it does not charge evil to another, it does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices together in truth: it endures all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it is steadfast in all things. 1 Cor 13:4-7 ONMB

(Joy) Declare - (Why) Nothing gives me greater joy than hearing that my children are living in the truth. 3 John 4 CJSB

(Peace) Ensure - (Where/When) I have told these things to you so that you would have peace because of Me: in the world you have distress: but be of good courage, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

4 Plan - “For God so loved the world that He gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed. 5 Life.Light.Love - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things came through Him, and there was not one thing that came into being without His participation. 6 Intention - Furthermore, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called in accordance with His purpose; Rom 8:28 CJB

7 Completion - ...(Y’shua said,) “It has been completed,” John 19:30 ONMB

8 Intercession - First of all, then, I counsel that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all human beings, 1 Tim 2:1-2 CJB

9 Transformation - Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Rom 12:2 NLT

10 Y'shua - And she will give birth to a Son, and you will call His name Y’shua: for He will save His people from their sins.” Matt 1:21-22 ONMB

BABES in Christ--Newly born into the Kingdom and Family of God--May you learn to grow in Christ with simplicity... and when we are no longer BABES, may we return to the basics of simplicity in Him.

Week 4 - Day6Friday, January 24, 2025 Daily Reading Exodus 5-10

BABES in Christ... newly born again... 3 HolySpirit

The Parable of the Sower (see Menu) talks about the SEED (the Word of God) that is scattered by Sower along the wayside and is stolen by the birds of the air. The SOIL is the heart of a person. Babes need to get God's Word into their heart to produce good soil (a heart that hungers and thirsts for Him) for that SEED (the Word) to take root in. The Word is the milk... so drink up! Make the soil of your heart rich!

Remember that... The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. Ps 19:8 NLT

Have you received His Joy in your heart?

For our Jewish cousins, sundown tonight is the beginning of Sabbath that will continue all day tomorrow until sundown. Shabbat Shalom! (Sabbath of Peace).

I thought about my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies. Ps 119:59 ONMB

What are your testimonies in the LORD?... the inner/outer witness that He is real and active in your life? This would be your blessings! Ann Voskamp, in her book One Thousand Gifts, challenges her readers to count 1000 blessings. I actually was able to do it over a period of months... Try it!

How do you Honor the Sabbath and Keep it Holy (set apart for God)?

“Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God. You have six days to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat for Adonai your God. On it, you are not to do any kind of work ... For in six days, Adonai made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day He rested.
