S.I.M.P.L.I.C.I.T.Y. in Christ - reminders: for All Stages
We will focus on one letter of this acronym each week of our ten-week study... for each of the Stages
S is for SOVEREIGN - God
Sovereign (God) - "Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved." Rom 10:13 NLT
Sovereign (God) - Then, you, call on the name of your god; and I will call on the Name of Adonai; and the God who answers with fire, let him be God!” All the people answered, “Good idea! Agreed!” 1Kings 18:24 CJB
Sovereign (God) - Then how will they call upon Whom they did not believe? And how could they believe what they did not hear? And how could they hear without preaching? And how could they preach unless they would send preachers? Just as it has been written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of the good things.” Rom 10:14-15 ONMB
Sovereign (God) - "Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations. Who will not fear (revere) You, Lord, and glorify Your Name? For You alone are holy. Rev 15:3-4 NLT
I is for Instruct - Word
Instruct (Word) - All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness... 2Tim 3:16 NKJV
Instruct (Word) - See, the Word of God is alive! It is at work and is sharper than any double-edged sword — it cuts right through to where soul meets spirit and joints meet marrow, and it is quick to judge the inner reflections and attitudes of the heart. Before God, nothing created is hidden, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account. Heb 4:12-13 CSJB
Instruct (Word) - For the message of the cross on the one hand is foolishness to the lost, but on the other hand, to those among us who are saved, it is the power of God, 1 Cor 1:18 ONMB
Instruct (Word) - The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let anyone who is thirsty come — let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge.” Rev 22:17 CJSB
M is for Message - Mankind
Message (Mankind) - And all things are from God, the One Who reconciled us to Himself through Messiah and Who gave us the ministry of reconciliation... 2 Cor 5:18 (ONMB)
Message (Mankind) All the men between thirty and fifty years of age who were eligible for service in the Tabernacle Num 4:47 NLT
Message (Mankind) This Good News was entrusted to me; and I thank the one who has given me strength, the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord, that he considered me trustworthy enough to put me in his service, even though I used to be a man who blasphemed and persecuted and was arrogant! But I received mercy because I had acted in unbelief, not understanding what I was doing. 1Tim 1:11-13 CJSB
Message (Mankind) - For Christ Himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. Eph 2:14-15 NLT
P is for Plan - Salvation
Plan/Purpose (Salvation) - “For God so loved the world that He gave His only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but rather so that through Him, the world might be saved. John 3:16-17 CJB
Plan (Salvation) For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost.” Luke 19:10 CJSB
Plan (Salvation) Then God said, “Let Us make humankind in Our image, in the likeness of Ourselves; and let them rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the animals, and over all the earth, and over every crawling creature that crawls on the earth.” So God created humankind in His own image; in the image of God He created him: male and female He created them. Gen 1:26-27 CJSB
Plan (Salvation) “If you love Me, you will keep My commands; and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another comforting Counselor like Me, the Spirit of Truth, to be with you forever. John 14:15-16 CJSB
L is for Living - HolySpirit
Living (HolySpirit) - There is one body and one Spirit, just as when you were called you were called to one hope. And there is one Lord, one trust, one immersion, and one God, the Father of all, Who rules over all, works through all and is in all. Eph 4:4-6 CJSB
Living (HolySpirit) Furthermore, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called in accordance with his purpose; Rom 8:28 CJSB
Living (HolySpirit) Or don’t you know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) who lives inside you, whom you received from God? The fact is, you don’t belong to yourselves; for you were bought at a price. So use your bodies to glorify God. 1 Cor 6:19-20 CJSB
Living (HolySpirit) The city has no need for the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s Sh’khinah (Presence) gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. Its gates will never close, they stay open all day because night will not exist there, Rev 21:23-26 CJSB
I is for Incarnate - Christ
Incarnate (Christ) - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things came through Him, and there was not one thing that came into being without His participation. What had come in Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of mankind: John 1:1-5 ONMB
Incarnate (Christ) …but when the appointed time arrived, God sent forth His Son. He was born from a woman, born into a culture in which legalistic perversion of the Torah was the norm, so that He might redeem those in subjection to this legalism and thus enable us to be made God’s sons. Now because you are sons, God has sent forth into our hearts the Spirit of His Son, the Spirit who cries out, “Abba!” (that is, “Dear Father!”). So through God you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son, you are also an heir. Gal 4:4-7 CJSB
Incarnate (Christ) Y’shua answered, “Most certainly I say to you, unless someone would have been born out of water and Spirit, he is not able to enter the Kingdom of God. What has been born of the flesh is flesh, and what has been born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:5-6 ONMB
Incarnate (Christ) …the one who continues sinning is from the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this (intention), so that He would destroy the works of the devil. No one who has been begotten (born) from God continues sinning, because His seed remains in him, and he is not able to sin, because he has been born of God. 1 John 3:8-9 ONMB
C is for Complete - TheCross
Complete (TheCross) - ...(Y’shua said,) “It has been completed,” John 19:30 ONMB
Complete (TheCross) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach Good News to the repentant, He has sent Me to preach release to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, (Isa 61:1) to send release to the oppressed, (Isa 58:6) to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Isa 61:2) And He began to say to them “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your ears.” Luke 4:18, 19, 21 ONMB
Complete (TheCross) Therefore you must continually confess your sins for yourselves with one another and you must continually pray for yourselves on behalf of one another so that you would be healed. The plea of a righteous person is very powerful, working effectively. James 5:16 ONMB
Complete (TheCross) And eternal life is this: to know You, the One true God, and Him whom you sent, Yeshua the Messiah. “I glorified you on earth by finishing the work You gave Me to do. John 17:3-4 CJSB
I is for Intercede - Prayer
Intercede (Prayer) - First of all, then, I counsel that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all human beings, 1 Tim 2:1-2 CJB
Intercede (Prayer) And likewise also the Spirit helps together with us in our weakness: for we do not know what we should pray according to what is needed, but the Spirit Himself intercedes in unutterable groanings: and the One Who searches our hearts knows what is in the mind of the Spirit, because He intercedes with God on behalf of the saints. And we know that, for those who love God, He works all things for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Rom 8:26-28 ONMB
Intercede (Prayer) … and He (the Living Word, Christ) is able to save for all time those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede on their behalf. Heb 7:25 ONMB
Intercede (Prayer) Who will accuse against the chosen people of God? God is the righteous One: who is the one who condemns? Certainly not Messiah Y’shua the One Who died, but rather, has risen, and Who is on the right hand of God, and Who is interceding on our behalf. Rom 8:33-34 ONMB
T is for Transform - Community/Church
Transform (Community) - Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Rom 12:2 NLT
Transform (Community) And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one who had accused them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10 ONMB
Transform (Community) God and Father of our Lord Y’shua Messiah be praised, the One Who has begotten us anew according to His great mercy into living hope through the resurrection from the dead of Y’shua Messiah, into an incorruptible pure and unfading inheritance, which has been kept in the heavens for you, those who are guarded by the power of God through faith into salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. 1Peter 1:3-5 ONMB
Transform (Community) (Jesus said,) “… In fact, an appointed time is coming and is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth: for the Father is seeking such as these who worship Him. God is Spirit, and it is necessary for those who worship Him to worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 ONMB
Y is for Yeshua (Jesus) - Promise
Yeshua (Promise) - And she will give birth to a Son, and you will call His name Y’shua: for He will save His people from their sins.” Matt 1:21-22 ONMB
Yeshua (Promise) And this is the promise, which He promised to us, eternal life. 1John 2:25 ONMB
Yeshua (Promise) For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!" And through Christ, our "Amen" (which means "Yes") ascends to God for His glory. 2 Cor 1:20 NLT
Yeshua (Promise) In Whom also yourselves, because you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in which also as you believed, you were sealed by the promised Holy Spirit, Who is a down payment of our inheritance, salvation, for a redemption of the purchased possession, in praise of His glory. Eph 1:13-14 ONMB
